In 2024, the Warter Strong Foundation helped bring a Senior Swab event to our local high school. The result was a huge success, and we brought in over 200 new potential "life savers" to the registry. This year, we are aiming even higher and proud to have nearly 10 new schools joining our cause.

Hundreds Support the 'Warter Strong' Bone Marrow Drive

For the second year in a row, Jake Warter has organized and run the Gift of Life Steps for Life 5K Run & Walk event. This year, the Warter Strong Foundation was honored for their efforts, and our logo was proudly displayed on the tshirts.

In May 2022, our very own Zachary Warter swabbed with the Gift of Life while speaking at the Friendship Volunteer dinner to over 250 people about the importance of joining the registry.

In October 2022, while a freshman at Tulane University, he received a call that he was a match for a 15-year-old battling leukemia.

In November 2022, while home for Thanksgiving, Zachary donated his stem cells.

In January 2024, just over a year after the donation, Zachary received word that the recipient was doing well and wanted to meet him.

In February 2024, Zachary flew to Dallas to meet the recipient and his family.

As of February 2025, Sebastian is thriving and living a big, beautiful life. Zach, Sebastian, and both moms, Barbara and Sonia, remain forever entrenched.
